When One of the Region's Most Famous Breweries Is In Your Backyard...

Northern Michigan is home to dozens of incredible breweries. Short's Brewing Company has changed Northern Michigan, and has done so in a way that highlights the natural beauty and resources, the people that live here, and the places that make is special. Their now famous pub in Bellaire has put a new zest for life into the small village, with tourists coming from all over to sample the brews and explore the shops and stores of Bellaire and the surrounding towns. 

First and foremost, however, places like Short's add to the life of locals by offering and supporting great events year-round. Short's has supported outdoor events and organizations like Paddle Antrim, ski races like the North American Vasa, and even fat bike racing in the Short's Brewing Fat Bike Series for the past two winters. This year, they'll also be supporting the Short's Brewing Mountain Bike Series, giving cycling enthusiasts something to get excited about all summer long. With Glacial Hills, a local hiking and mountain bike trail, just a few miles from town, Short's is becoming the perfect place to start and end a ride! 

But their incredible pub brings a lot of excitement, too. Live music and events are at the very heart of Short's, and they feature great shows with local and traveling artists. For locals, it's a short trip over to visit the pub, stop by local coffee shop Moka, or check out the classic other shops and stores that dot the village. 

From a mid-week show to the total town take over that is the Anni Party, you don't have to go far to have some incredible fun in a small town. Thanks to breweries like Short's, there's always something going on, no matter what you're into.
